Narciso Secco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tião Vergílio's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. In the 10th minute, Leopoldo Botelho made a precise shot to the right of Narciso Secco. Funilandia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldão Luz in the 12th minute of play forced Macaranduba SS's goalkeeper Víktor Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Víktor Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquinhos Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douglas Lopez during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Funilandia getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Douglas Lopez hit a great ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Tião Vergílio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Funilandia's Narciso Secco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 26 minutes, Marcos Dias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Funilandia and the Macaranduba SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Marcos Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jairo Trevisan kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Macaranduba SS's Víktor Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Alvarenga in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of Funilandia booed when Macaranduba SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guto Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the game's 44th minute Funilandia's Tiaguinho Arruda took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Víktor Freire and thus the score was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tião Vergílio made a kick off. The supporters of Macaranduba SS booed when Funilandia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazinho Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tião Vergílio took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Narciso Secco. Narciso Secco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Narciso Secco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Botelho in the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldão Luz in the 61st minute of play forced Macaranduba SS's goalkeeper Víktor Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Nóbrega might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Víktor Freire. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Nóbrega ran back to his position shaking his head. Tião Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Narciso Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narciso Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tião Vergílio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the game, Artur Sá was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Funilandia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macaranduba SS the free kick. A collision led to Funilandia getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Artur Sá hit a great ball. Leopoldo Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Narciso Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Rodolfo Catarinense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tião Vergílio in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narciso Secco saved Funilandia from getting behind. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
