Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frédson Coelho started the match with the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Gilson Maciel in the 4th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Coritiba Football Club's Bebeto Zanette. In the 7th minute, Frédson Coelho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. César Aguiar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luiz Paulo do Nascimento hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Coritiba Football Club's goalkeeper Rafinha Saldanha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulysses Branco. In the 21st minute, Vivaldo Baiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulysses Branco got free with Rafinha Saldanha in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafinha Saldanha was a little too slow when Zeca Ribeiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-1. After some careless play in the Coritiba Football Club defense, Ulysses Branco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafinha Saldanha. The Coritiba Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafinha Saldanha should have stopped the shot. If Ulysses Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bebeto Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Aguiar having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Feijoal's goal looked a bit too open when Frédson Coelho came free, but César Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Feijoal getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Zeca Ribeiro hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Zeca Ribeiro made the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, César Aguiar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gilson Maciel's late challenge caught a Coritiba Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilson Maciel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Gilson Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 55 minutes into the match, Feijoal's goalkeeper César Aguiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frédson Coelho. Ulysses Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Edu Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafinha Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeca Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Coritiba Football Club's zone, Marcinho Campidelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafinha Saldanha came out of the goal and Marcinho Campidelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafinha Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeca Ribeiro in the 68th minute of the match. Rafinha Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. César Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Frédson Coelho sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute, Vivaldo Baiano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of César Aguiar. The goal made the score 2-2. Coritiba Football Club were furious when Bruno Vergílio was red carded, 81 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Coritiba Football Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! After having played for 88 minutes, Zeca Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Feijoal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeca Ribeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulysses Branco scored 3-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rafinha Saldanha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. César Aguiar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bebeto Zanette in the 98th minute. The Feijoal support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
