Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zeca Ribeiro kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Zeca Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Feijoal's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeca Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Paulo Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcinho Campidelis's late challenge caught a Mapirunga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcinho Campidelis helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Edmundo Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mapirunga's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. César Aguiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Abreu in the 14th minute of play forced Feijoal's goalkeeper César Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nildo Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Mapirunga's goal looked a bit too open when Zeca Ribeiro came free, but João Paulo Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 24 minutes, Edmundo Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mapirunga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Feijoal! In the 30th minute Edmundo Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeca Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeca Ribeiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. Feijoal's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 41 played minutes Feijoal got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho Campidelis. After 45 played minutes Mapirunga got a freekick which was hit by Nilton Lara. 46 minutes into the match, Feijoal's Vicente Carneiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After the first half Mapirunga were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nildo Matorin made a kick off. If Nildo Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. César Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nildo Matorin in the 56th minute of the match. If Edmundo Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Claudinho Furtado fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Feijoal's protests and gave Claudinho Furtado a yellow card for diving instead. Claudinho Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Mapirunga's Nildo Matorin got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmundo Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but César Aguiar made a huge save. João Paulo Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulysses Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Edmundo Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. César Aguiar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 91 minutes into the game, Thiago do Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mapirunga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Feijoal the free kick. A collision led to Mapirunga getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Thiago do Nascimento hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute of the match Vicente Carneiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Paulo Cruz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Feijoal's zone, Nildo Matorin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. César Aguiar came out of the goal and Nildo Matorin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmundo Abreu might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over César Aguiar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmundo Abreu ran back to his position shaking his head.
