Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gonçalo Medeiros got the match started through his kick off. Wellington Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Chicão Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, Maraconahu SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Tavares to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Medeiros in the 12th minute of play forced Maraconahu SC's goalkeeper Evaristo Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Wellington Queirós left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maraconahu SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the last second Evaristo Simões throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gonçalo Medeiros in the 21stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After some careless play in the Sport defense, Betão Moura kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chicão Gaúcho. The Sport fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chicão Gaúcho should have stopped the shot. Betão Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 0-3 became the score in the 28th minute when Betão Moura elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 32 minutes, Betão Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maraconahu SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betão Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chicão Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Queirós in the 37th minute of play. If Betão Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, one of Sport:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sport. The Sport players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maraconahu SC were winning 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Betão Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Gonçalo Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Maraconahu SC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. José Maria Maia hit a great ball. Gonçalo Medeiros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evaristo Simões read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Allan Cunha's late challenge caught a Maraconahu SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Allan Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. Allan Cunha hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Chicão Gaúcho was a little too slow when Wellington Queirós got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-5. 66 minutes into the match, Maraconahu SC's Wellington Queirós sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chicão Gaúcho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Maraconahu SC booed when Sport was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víktor Maranhense didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sport's zone, Wellington Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chicão Gaúcho came out of the goal and Wellington Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maraconahu SC's Wellington Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wellington Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the game, Víktor Maranhense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sport's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maraconahu SC the free kick. The supporters of Maraconahu SC booed when Sport was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víktor Maranhense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaristo Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When Allan Cunha was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 97 minutes had been played. In the 97th minute, Allan Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
