Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Abel AD's Toma Pinga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético de Salvador's goalkeeper Narciso Fontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Abel AD's Valdomiro Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermon Martines in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Hal Sobczak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Abel AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Hermon Martines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Valdomiro Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kléber Junior took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdomiro Moreno. Valdomiro Moreno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When Atlético de Salvador's Kléber Junior in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Abel AD's goalie prevented a goal. Kléber Junior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Moreno having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Cido Paulista cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Valdomiro Moreno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kléber Junior struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Valdomiro Moreno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético de Salvador. Kléber Junior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Moreno having to interfere. Atlético de Salvador's Cido Paulista got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valdomiro Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kléber Junior in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Atlético de Salvador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kléber Junior stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermon Martines in the 53rd minute of play forced Abel AD's goalkeeper Valdomiro Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Atlético de Salvador getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Carlos Fernando Matos hit a great ball. Abel AD's Andrézinho Fernandes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 55th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Atlético de Salvador. Hal Sobczak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Narciso Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Abel AD got a freekick which was hit by Andrézinho Fernandes. Laurent Rigal struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Valdomiro Moreno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético de Salvador. In the 69th minute, Kléber Junior left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético de Salvador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Valdomiro Moreno came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético de Salvador's Kléber Junior. But to his dismay, Kléber Junior quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. When Cido Paulista fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético de Salvador's protests and gave Cido Paulista a yellow card for diving instead. Cido Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The supporters of Abel AD booed when Atlético de Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cido Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kléber Junior hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Andrézinho Fernandes's late challenge caught a Atlético de Salvador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrézinho Fernandes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Abel AD getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Andrézinho Fernandes hit a great ball. Valdomiro Moreno acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 90th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Laurent Rigal. After a rather tough play, Abel AD's Carlos Quirino got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Atlético de Salvador's Laurent Rigal shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 93rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Valdomiro Moreno but with some difficulty.
