Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Kléber Junior made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Camiranga's zone, Kléber Junior stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manfredo Mineiro came out of the goal and Kléber Junior tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Camiranga's Vladimir Albuquerque shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 12th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Narciso Fontes but with some difficulty. Márcio Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Fontes having to interfere. Valdir Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Narciso Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermon Martines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manfredo Mineiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléber Junior, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Narciso Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir Cunha in the 22nd minute of the match. When Glauco Urbano fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Camiranga's protests and gave Glauco Urbano a yellow card for diving instead. Manfredo Mineiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kléber Junior, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimir Albuquerque's late challenge caught a Atlético de Salvador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimir Albuquerque helped the player get up and apologised. Arnaldo de Toledo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Manfredo Mineiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hermon Martines went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Cido Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Manfredo Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Atlético de Salvador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The crowd rose to their feet as Kléber Junior kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manfredo Mineiro. That made the score 0-4 in the 71 minute of play. Manfredo Mineiro made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Kléber Junior sent off a good shot on target. Camiranga's Jarbas Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Camiranga's Manfredo Mineiro got control of the ball when Kléber Junior tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermon Martines in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manfredo Mineiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manfredo Mineiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cido Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A well done corner resulted in Hermon Martines drilling the ball in to score 0-5 behind Camiranga's goalkeeper.
