Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilvan Simão to make the kick off. Dedê Rosa's late challenge caught a Sidão Trader's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dedê Rosa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Dedê Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romário Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Belchior Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Mariricu support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
