The supporters of A.Z.Z FC booed when JATOBÁ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Délio Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Mazza in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frank Cunha saved JATOBÁ F.C. from getting behind. Frank Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. José Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Cunha having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Mazza in the 18th minute of play forced JATOBÁ F.C.'s goalkeeper Frank Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Cunha having to interfere. If Arnaldo Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Washington Torres charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Washington Torres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arnaldo Martins might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnaldo Martins ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of JATOBÁ F.C. booed when A.Z.Z FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otávio Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélio Marquez was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Délio Lima during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes JATOBÁ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Délio Lima. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 52nd minute, Délio Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erivaldo Pontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 67th minute of the match, Arnaldo Martins tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Frank Cunha saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Martins in the 73rd minute of play forced JATOBÁ F.C.'s goalkeeper Frank Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Frank Cunha successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arnaldo Martins had several of the JATOBÁ F.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 76 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Frank Cunha as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Arnaldo Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Mazza in the 81st minute. Arnaldo Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Cunha having to interfere. José Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. JATOBÁ F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Arnaldo Martins scored to the left of an out of position Frank Cunha, making the score, 2-2. A.Z.Z FC's Erivaldo Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Ribeiro in the 95th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
