The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelinho Bertassi got free with Frank Cunha in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frank Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléber Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Frank Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Mariricu's goal looked a bit too open when Délio Lima came free, but Belchior Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kléber Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacinto Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

In the 63rd minute of the match Jeferson Martins sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Cunha skillfully saved the ball. JATOBÁ F.C.'s Frank Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléber Vidal in the 69th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Mariricu's Marcelinho Bertassi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dedê Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Cunha having to interfere.
