Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Nando Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Pereira in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rosario FC's Ademir Dias got a free kick in the 12th minute. After some careless play in the Rosario FC defense, Hélder Bueno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nando Lara. The Rosario FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nando Lara should have stopped the shot. Geovani Seco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Mandrak in the 25th minute of the match. When Gustavo Faria fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Couves's protests and gave Gustavo Faria a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Couves! In the 35th minute, Orlando Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rafael Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute of the match, Ramón Zilles got a very nice opportunity to score, but Geovani Seco was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 43rd minute, Ademir Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hélder Bueno might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nando Lara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélder Bueno ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlando Pereira was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Rosario FC's Aílton de Amorim got a free kick in the 51st minute. Nando Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder Bueno in the 53rd minute of the match. Róbson Maia struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Nando Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Couves. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hélder Bueno got free with Nando Lara in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute Ramón Zilles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovani Seco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramón Zilles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geovani Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Mandrak in the 73rd minute of play. Hélder Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Róbson Maia fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Couves's protests and gave Róbson Maia a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rosario FC booed when Couves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Róbson Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Couves's Geovani Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Mandrak in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Couves's Rubinho de Medeiros got a free kick in the 79th minute. With a little luck, Rosario FC's Nando Lara got control of the ball when Hélder Bueno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nando Lara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hélder Bueno in the 89th minute. If Orlando Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
