After 22 played minutes Schalke04jpa got a freekick which was hit by Murilo Marquez. After 25 played minutes Clockwork Orange got a freekick which was hit by Dida Lucas. In the 28th minute Schalke04jpa were awarded a corner. Diego Nogueira went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Schalke04jpa's Tião Jacinto getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Luiz Paulo Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Clockwork Orange's Marcinho Secco got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When Leopoldo Lira came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Schalke04jpa fans jumped to their feet. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Paulo Motta was the one to do the kick off. Leopoldo Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clockwork Orange's Ronaldão Paraense got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Schalke04jpa's goal looked a bit too open when Dudu Cruz came free, but Gil Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Cruz in the 69th minute of play forced Schalke04jpa's goalkeeper Gil Ramalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Paulo Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute Luiz Paulo Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natanael Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldão Paraense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Gil Ramalho made a huge save. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Schalke04jpa had played much better football throughout.
