In the 17th minute Lúcio Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Glauco Arce was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Internacional ch's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Filadeli the free kick. In the 21st match minute, Internacional ch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco Arce to maneuver through the defense. After 24 minutes of play Internacional ch's Germano Medeiros was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Marcinho Faria got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Filadeli's attentive Dráuzio Zilles managed to snatch the ball when Glauco Arce made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. Dráuzio Zilles scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cássio Godoi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 38 played minutes Internacional ch got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho Faria. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Dráuzio Zilles made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edu Pernambucano during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Internacional ch getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Edu Pernambucano hit a great ball. A very nice done corner allowed Dráuzio Zilles to score against Cássio Godoi in Internacional ch's goal. 0-2 after 53 minutes. Filadeli's Mauro Verdaguer was substituted for Lúcio Montenegro. Cássio Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Verdaguer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Dráuzio Zilles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cássio Godoi. Internacional ch's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dráuzio Zilles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Filadeli made a substitution. Inácio Meirelles replaced César Travassos. In the 66th minute, Fernandinho Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Internacional ch defense, Dráuzio Zilles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cássio Godoi. The Internacional ch fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cássio Godoi should have stopped the shot. Cássio Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Verdaguer, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Mauro Verdaguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dráuzio Zilles had several of the Internacional ch's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 77 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Cássio Godoi as he didn't even see the shot coming. 81 minutes into the match, Mauro Verdaguer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cássio Godoi, 0-6. When Filadeli's Mauro Verdaguer in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
