Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulisses Tavares in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luisão Eger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ulisses Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 14 played minutes Cambitos got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Félix. Ulisses Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Luisão Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Chico Ceresso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nilson Veiga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25th minute, Samuel Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cambitos's Luisão Eger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Cambitos from getting a goal against them. Leopoldo Gaúcho charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo Gaúcho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cambitos getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Leopoldo Gaúcho hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Ulisses Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute, Gerson Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joanico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerson Duarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armando Monteiro succeeded in the game's 46th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chico Ceresso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joanico's Nilson Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chico Ceresso in the 52nd minute of play. Bebeto Félix's late challenge caught a Joanico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bebeto Félix helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Cambitos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Félix to maneuver through the defense. The referee ignored Joanico's protests and gave Gerson Duarte a yellow card for diving instead. Cléber Recife came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nilson Veiga could save by the left post. Luisão Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luisão Eger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulisses Tavares's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Joanico's Nilson Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chico Ceresso in the 72nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Cambitos's Nilson Veiga threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Chico Ceresso, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Enéas Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Joanico's Ulisses Tavares in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cambitos's goalie prevented a goal. In the 95th minute, Cambitos's Chico Ceresso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2.
