Genílson Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute Alberto Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Izvoranu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Nunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Adrian Izvoranu made a huge save. Genílson Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo de Queirós in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Albertino Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Vítor Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Matheus Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Nunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrian Izvoranu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Fidelo EC's Adrian Izvoranu threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Albertinho de Amorim, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Adrian Izvoranu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Lucas in the 37th minute of the match. Claudinho Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrian Izvoranu made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Alberto Nunes sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Lucas in the 46th minute of play forced Cambaratiba AD's goalkeeper Adrian Izvoranu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Cambaratiba AD defense, Alberto Nunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Izvoranu. The Cambaratiba AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Izvoranu should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reinaldo de Queirós to make the kick off. If Claudinho Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Reinaldo de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cambaratiba AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinaldo de Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genílson Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Reinaldo de Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Cambaratiba AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinaldo de Queirós couldn't finish the play. Fidelo EC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Reinaldo de Queirós 64 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. The audience was convinced that Reinaldo de Queirós's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Genílson Fontes was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Reinaldo de Queirós blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Genílson Fontes having to make a save. Kaká Meirelles kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 75thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Fidelo EC's keeper Genílson Fontes was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Adrian Izvoranu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Nunes in the 77th minute of play. Cambaratiba AD's Adrian Izvoranu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Lucas in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fidelo EC's Albertinho de Amorim got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Reinaldo de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Alberto Nunes made a precise shot to the right of Adrian Izvoranu. Cambaratiba AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Kaká Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Fidelo EC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
