The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Percival Aguiar came out of the goal and Dário Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Wilton Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monsuaba FC's Wilton Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Wilton Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monsuaba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilton Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisão Campidelis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monsuaba FC's goalkeeper Percival Aguiar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luisão Campidelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Brito in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Veloso in the 64th minute of play forced Monsuaba FC's goalkeeper Percival Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Wilton Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Monsuaba FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Renatinho Araújo hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Monsuaba FC's goal looked a bit too open when David do Valle came free, but Percival Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luisão Campidelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilton Brito in the 79th minute of the match. Luisão Campidelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Brito in the 82nd minute of play. Monsuaba FC's Caetano da Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Wilton Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Quatiguaba SC were victorious despite being under pressure from Monsuaba FC for much of the match.
