The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes, Suárez Luis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esporte Clube Bahia and the Platino players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Platino booed when Esporte Clube Bahia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséas Batista scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Radowit Dzerwucki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Radowit Dzerwucki was a little too slow when Oséas Batista got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 2-0. With a little luck, Esporte Clube Bahia's Radowit Dzerwucki got control of the ball when Oséas Batista tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

With a little luck, Platino's Lucas Vieira got control of the ball when Suárez Luis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Radowit Dzerwucki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luiz Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Platino getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Alberto Souto hit a great ball. Leandro Vidal charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leandro Vidal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Radowit Dzerwucki came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Platino's Wanderson Figueiredo. But to his dismay, Wanderson Figueiredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 75th minute, Sílvio Luiz Gonçalves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Radowit Dzerwucki was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. In the 79th match minute, Platino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Souto to maneuver through the defense. Esporte Clube Bahia were furious when Caetano Gerber was red carded, 81 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.
