Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tião Domingues started the match with the kick off. Zé Carlos Gerber took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelo Araújo. Angelo Araújo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Angelo Araújo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tião Domingues's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Edgard Simões's late challenge caught a União Independente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Simões helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th minute, Edgard Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tião Domingues in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute of the match Alexandre Passos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angelo Araújo skillfully saved the ball. Edgard Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgard Brodels short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Marcelo Toscano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Anísio de Amaral struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Marcelo Toscano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Virasoro fc. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Brodel got free with Marcelo Toscano in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Carlos Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Tião Domingues had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Araújo. Virasoro fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tião Domingues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Angelo Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tião Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Virasoro fc defense, Zé Carlos Gerber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Araújo. The Virasoro fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Araújo should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anísio de Amaral was the one to do the kick off. Tião Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Tião Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot. União Independente's supporters rose to their feet, but Tião Domingues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Araújo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Angelo Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tião Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Zé Carlos Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virasoro fc's Angelo Araújo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Virasoro fc from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute, Carlos Fernando Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tião Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Angelo Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Carlos Gerber struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. União Independente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tião Domingues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tião Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Angelo Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virasoro fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Tião Domingues scored to the left of an out of position Angelo Araújo, making the score, 0-4. The supporters of União Independente booed when Virasoro fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to União Independente getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Edvaldo Moraes hit a great ball. Zé Carlos Gerber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virasoro fc's Angelo Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tião Domingues in the 95th minute of play.
