The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moisés Paulista during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, C.A Boca Masters's Moisés Paulista got a free kick in the 4th minute. After a defensive mix-up in C.A Boca Masters's zone, Ricardo Pimenta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrianinho Tavares came out of the goal and Ricardo Pimenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CAPE TOWN MZC's Ricardo Pimenta managed to work through C.A Boca Masters's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ricardo Pimenta dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. If Miguel Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th match minute, C.A Boca Masters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. If Ricardo Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CAPE TOWN MZC's Arnaldo Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Saraiva in the 24th minute of play. Ricardo Pimenta might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adrianinho Tavares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Pimenta ran back to his position shaking his head. The long shot by João Vítor Medeiros in the 30th minute really tested Arnaldo Sá's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 33rdth minute of the game Miguel Saraiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CAPE TOWN MZC's Arnaldo Sá was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Márcio Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Arnaldo Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 minutes CAPE TOWN MZC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gil da Rocha who took care of the corner kick. 45 minutes into the match, Mathias Magalhães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnaldo Sá. CAPE TOWN MZC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathias Magalhães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricardo Pimenta was the one to do the kick off. CAPE TOWN MZC's Arnaldo Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Márcio Moraes in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute Miguel Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrianinho Tavares made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Dênis Ferraz sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to C.A Boca Masters getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Bruno Arósio hit a great ball. Adrianinho Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Pimenta in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th match minute, C.A Boca Masters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Márcio Moraes to maneuver through the defense. Adrianinho Tavares was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Dênis Ferraz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dênis Ferraz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Mathias Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Sá having to interfere. In the 78th minute of the match, Dênis Ferraz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Adrianinho Tavares was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Adrianinho Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Pimenta in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Ricardo Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrianinho Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 90 minutes, Mathias Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A Boca Masters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathias Magalhães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Saraiva in the 91st minute of play forced CAPE TOWN MZC's goalkeeper Arnaldo Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horácio Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
