But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Souza couldn't finish the play. After 14 played minutes Poço de Merda got a freekick which was hit by Flavinho Rossi. A collision led to Poço de Merda getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Orlando Pimenta hit a great ball. In the 17thth minute of the game Júlio Garcia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poço de Merda's Genílson do Valle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute, Alex Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Severino Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ibiapina SS's Alex Souza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Flavinho Rossi, made in the 32nd minute of the game. Flavinho Rossi got a throw-in 34 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gernando Meirelles. Flavinho Rossi made in the 44th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ivo Vianna immediately put the ball in play. Jerzy Mudry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavinho Rossi in the 46th minute of play. When Júlio Garcia came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ibiapina SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Garcia couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júlio Garcia made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Ibiapina SS's Leandro Koehler slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Genílson do Valle. That made the score 0-2 after 52 minutes of play. Jerzy Mudry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Vianna in the 63rd minute of the match. Alex Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson do Valle having to interfere. Flavinho Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Ibiapina SS's attentive Alex Souza managed to snatch the ball when Eurico Eger made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. In the 84th minute, Júlio Garcia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Genílson do Valle. The goal made the score 0-3. Jerzy Mudry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Pimenta in the 90th minute of the match. Genílson do Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júlio Garcia's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Leandro Koehler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson do Valle having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Ibiapina SS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Poço de Merda.
