Ruy Pena might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gugu Oliveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruy Pena ran back to his position shaking his head. Gugu Oliveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albertinho Carneiro's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Albertinho Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gugu Oliveira came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Martim's Ruy Pena. But to his dismay, Ruy Pena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ruy Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Ruy Pena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hudson Fernandez in the 23rd minute of play forced Martim's goalkeeper Benê Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruy Pena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Gugu Oliveira made a huge save. In the 32ndth minute of the game Albertinho Carneiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube's Gugu Oliveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ruy Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gugu Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Carneiro in the 36th minute of the match. Martim's Benê Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Coutinho in the 43rd minute of play.

After 53 played minutes Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Percy Breckenfeld. After having played for 54 minutes, Ruy Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruy Pena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gugu Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertinho Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Albertinho Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gugu Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hudson Fernandez struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Benê Lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube. Ruy Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gugu Oliveira having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube's Hudson Fernandez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benê Lago narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Gil Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube booed when Martim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute Ruy Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gugu Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Percy Breckenfeld was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Martim the free kick. A collision led to Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Percy Breckenfeld hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Martim fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
