Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) TheZacato's Anselmo Pimenta started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Flavinho Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Geovânio Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guaporanga EC's Flavinho Mattos got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute, José Carlos Freitas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th minute, Cacá Esteves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovânio Bertassi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, José Carlos Freitas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geovânio Bertassi. TheZacato's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Carlos Freitas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 22nd match minute, Guaporanga EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Carlos Freitas to maneuver through the defense. Flavinho Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Paulo José Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute José Carlos Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovânio Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Flavinho Mattos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovânio Bertassi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cláudio Rodrigues got free with Benê Velasco in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 35 minutes, Flavinho Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaporanga EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavinho Mattos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, TheZacato's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Freitas came free, but Geovânio Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

If José Carlos Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th play minute Flavinho Mattos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Geovânio Bertassi. 0-4. Flavinho Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Carlos Freitas got free with Geovânio Bertassi in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulo José Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benê Velasco having to interfere. Hernani Varela hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, José Carlos Freitas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Geovânio Bertassi. The goal made the score 2-5. An unexpected shot in the 82nd minute by Flavinho Mattos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Benê Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmo Pombal charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anselmo Pombal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Guaporanga EC's Anselmo Pombal got a free kick in the 85th minute. Benê Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benê Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Pimenta, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Flavinho Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavinho Mattos struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Geovânio Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guaporanga EC. When the match was over Guaporanga EC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than TheZacato throughout the match.
