With a little luck, Icapara's José Vítor Proença got control of the ball when Matheus Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Icapara defense, Marcos de Sena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Vítor Proença. The Icapara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Vítor Proença should have stopped the shot. In the 23rd match minute, Palestrinos United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos de Sena to maneuver through the defense. In the 24thth minute of the game Haroldo Matos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palestrinos United FC's João Vítor Soares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Haroldo Matos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Vítor Soares. Palestrinos United FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haroldo Matos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 35th minute Lúcio da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vítor Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haroldo Matos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Palestrinos United FC's Matheus Melo got a free kick in the 66th minute. João Vítor Soares came out of the goal and Francisco Dionísio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th match minute, Palestrinos United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos de Sena to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Francisco Dionísio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastião Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but João Vítor Soares made a huge save. Palestrinos United FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
