Coaticaba SC's Reginaldo Trigo got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joel Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th match minute, A Morte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor das Neves to maneuver through the defense. Nestor das Neves hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Reginaldo Trigo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coaticaba SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 28 minutes into the game, Reginaldo Trigo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Nelsinho Lima was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Reginaldo Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Lima having to interfere. If Nildo Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, A Morte's Nestor das Neves got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Reginaldo Trigo took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelsinho Lima. Nelsinho Lima dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 37th minute, Nildo Maia made a precise shot to the right of Nelsinho Lima. A Morte's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. A Morte's Nelsinho Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe de Queiroz in the 45th minute of play. Miguel Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Edgar Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nildo Maia was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Nildo Maia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nelsinho Lima. Nildo Maia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. After 56 minutes, Jean Botelho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A Morte and the Coaticaba SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jean Botelho hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute Nildo Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Reginaldo Trigo sped through A Morte's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nelsinho Lima. The crowd rose to their feet as Reginaldo Trigo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nelsinho Lima. That made the score 0-7 in the 65 minute of play. Nildo Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nildo Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Lima having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nestor das Neves during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miguel Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Edgar Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nildo Maia's late challenge caught a A Morte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nildo Maia helped the player get up and apologised. Nildo Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind A Morte's goalkeeper Nelsinho Lima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nelsinho Lima stood somewhat misplaced when Nildo Maia came free in front of goal and shot 0-8 to the left of him in the 82 minute. 85 minutes into the match, A Morte's goalkeeper Nelsinho Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reginaldo Trigo. Joel Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgar Carvalho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Vargas went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-8 was the resulting score. If Joel Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Coaticaba SC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than A Morte throughout the match.
