Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Quixoba's Gino Leite started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Quixoba's Victor Meirelles got a free kick in the 15th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Quixoba's zone, Gilvan Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredão Barros came out of the goal and Gilvan Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredão Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio de Souza in the 18th minute of play. Alfredão Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basílio de Souza in the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Basílio de Souza made a precise shot to the right of Alfredão Barros. Quixoba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Victor Meirelles hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Falcão Figueiredo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Cupyra's Noel da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Leite in the 31st minute of play. Alfredão Barros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Basílio de Souza went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Cupyra defense, Gino Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Noel da Silva. The Cupyra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Noel da Silva should have stopped the shot.

With a little luck, Quixoba's Alfredão Barros got control of the ball when Basílio de Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Cupyra's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão Figueiredo came free, but Noel da Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilvan Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredão Barros having to interfere. A collision led to Quixoba getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Moisés Veiga hit a great ball. Basílio de Souza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredão Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Gilvan Medeiros's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alfredão Barros firmly grabbed it by the left post. Basílio de Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Falcão Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilvan Medeiros might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredão Barros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilvan Medeiros ran back to his position shaking his head. When Gilvan Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Cupyra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilvan Medeiros couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Quixoba's zone, Basílio de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredão Barros came out of the goal and Basílio de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Basílio de Souza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredão Barros was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cupyra's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Egídio Mineiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Quixoba's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Egídio Mineiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Noel da Silva quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
