The player immediately received a yellow card. Erasmo Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Gildo Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avante FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gildo Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gildo Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cássio Gonçalves fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poa FC's protests and gave Cássio Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. 22 minutes into the game, one of Poa FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Marco Garcia made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Erasmo Luz sent off a good shot on target. Gildo Cruz scored 3-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Garcia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gildo Cruz made a kick off. Gildo Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Marco Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gildo Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erasmo Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Avante FC booed when Poa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deivid Corrêa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, Gildo Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cássio Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Poa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Luz came free, but Marco Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Poa FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Avante FC.
