After a rather tough play, Inhaumense FC's Hélio Pontes got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 7 minutes in the game, Célio Linares dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Maracajatuba's Pedro Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Linares in the 10th minute of play. If Luís Fernando Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Linares in the 18th minute of the match. Pedro Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Linares in the 20th minute of play. Célio Linares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Carioca having to make a save. Inhaumense FC's Luís Fernando Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Célio Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the game, Jerônimo Prado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maracajatuba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inhaumense FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Maracajatuba's Jerônimo Prado got a free kick in the 26th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Célio Linares in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Carioca saved Maracajatuba from getting behind. Célio Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Carioca having to interfere. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Inhaumense FC's goalkeeper Tales Donato, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Inhaumense FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Álvaro Paulista scored to the left of an out of position Tales Donato, making the score, 1-1. Luís Fernando Leão took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Carioca. Pedro Carioca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
When Álvaro Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Maracajatuba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Paulista couldn't finish the play. After 53 played minutes Maracajatuba got a freekick which was hit by Marco Couto. Simão Gaúcho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pedro Carioca firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Maracajatuba's zone, Luís Fernando Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Carioca came out of the goal and Luís Fernando Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute of the match, Célio Linares tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedro Carioca saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 59 played minutes Maracajatuba got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Paulista. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Célio Linares in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Carioca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 60 minutes, Célio Linares made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Maracajatuba's Pedro Carioca tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 63rd minute, Álvaro Paulista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 65 played minutes Maracajatuba got a freekick which was hit by Marco Couto. Pedro Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Linares in the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Maracajatuba's goalkeeper Pedro Carioca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Fernando Leão. Pedro Carioca made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Luís Fernando Leão sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute, Álvaro Paulista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tales Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Álvaro Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Álvaro Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Tales Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Célio Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Inhaumense FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
