After a rather tough play, Moradinha's Samuca Quaresma got a free kick in the 17th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Marques got free with Luiz Fernando Luz in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vladimir de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Vítor Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Moradinha's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Luz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Moradinha! SC CORINGÃO's Vladimir de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Vítor Matos in the 75th minute of play. After some careless play in the Moradinha defense, Marcel Marques kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fernando Luz. The Moradinha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fernando Luz should have stopped the shot. When Samuca Quaresma fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Moradinha's protests and gave Samuca Quaresma a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC CORINGÃO booed when Moradinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuca Quaresma didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cido Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Moradinha's zone, Cido Brodel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fernando Luz came out of the goal and Cido Brodel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
