Egīls Melkerts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 46 minutes into the match, Campista's goal looked a bit too open when Doriva Arósio came free, but Egīls Melkerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Tucunduva AD were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Egīls Melkerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Eduardo Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the last second Egīls Melkerts throw himself and got hold of the ball when Luiz Eduardo Guimarães in the 65thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When Doriva Arósio fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tucunduva AD's protests and gave Doriva Arósio a yellow card for diving instead. Ademir Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Sarmento having to interfere. Teodoro Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st match minute, Campista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredinho Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Tucunduva AD's Maurinho Guedes tried to score from far away in the 82nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Tucunduva AD's zone, Arí de Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vito Sarmento came out of the goal and Arí de Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 87 played minutes Tucunduva AD got a freekick which was hit by Nico Cearense. Doriva Arósio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Egīls Melkerts made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Eduardo Guimarães in the 94th minute of play forced Campista's goalkeeper Egīls Melkerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Tucunduva AD could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Campista throughout the match.
