The supporters of Campista booed when Algodoal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arí de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Yuri Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Algodoal FC's goalkeeper Cauan Massa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yuri Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Egīls Melkerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Giuseppe Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Algodoal FC's Yuri Saldanha in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Campista's goalie prevented a goal. Giuseppe Pirani succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 32nd playminute. When Ademir Mota, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 36 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Cauan Massa was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Yuri Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Algodoal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuri Saldanha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egīls Melkerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 47 played minutes Campista got a freekick which was hit by Pedrão Bueno. 48 minutes into the match, Algodoal FC's Vágner Paraibano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Yuri Saldanha made the kick off in the second half. Algodoal FC's Giuseppe Pirani got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match, Yuri Saldanha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egīls Melkerts. Campista's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yuri Saldanha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Egīls Melkerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ademir Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Cauan Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 62 played minutes Algodoal FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilton de Senna. Cauan Massa made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Arí de Amorim sent off a good shot on target. 76 minutes into the game, Ademir Mota recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cauan Massa. Ademir Mota showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. If Giuseppe Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuri Saldanha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egīls Melkerts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of Campista booed when Algodoal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egīls Melkerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Saldanha in the 96th minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
