AKAI FC's Chico Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói de Toledo in the 18th minute of play. Adelino Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Erasmo do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Abel Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. AKAI FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Coelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasmo do Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute, Abel Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abel Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erasmo do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Chico Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Imbituva FC's zone, Adelino Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erasmo do Valle came out of the goal and Adelino Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elói de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Camargo having to interfere. Elói de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elói de Toledo was the one to do the kick off. Chico Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói de Toledo in the 56th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, AKAI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elói de Toledo came free, but Chico Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amauri Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Camargo having to interfere. In the 76th minute Adelino Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th match minute, AKAI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Vaz to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, AKAI FC's Chico Camargo got control of the ball when Amauri Dracena tried to sneak it across the goal line. Toninho Mello made in the 83rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AKAI FC's Caetano Domingues. After a defensive mix-up in Imbituva FC's zone, Caetano Domingues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erasmo do Valle came out of the goal and Caetano Domingues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caetano Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo do Valle having to interfere. After some careless play in the AKAI FC defense, Amauri Dracena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chico Camargo. The AKAI FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chico Camargo should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute, AKAI FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Elói de Toledo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Imbituva FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
