The audience thought a goal was coming when Válter Faria got free with Horácio de Amaral in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Horácio de Amaral made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Válter Faria sent off a good shot on target. 13 minutes into the match, Raizama's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Marinho came free, but Horácio de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raizama's Horácio de Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Raizama from getting a goal against them. If Válter Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Raizama's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Marinho came free, but Horácio de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Válter Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Horácio de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamim Miranda in the 28th minute of play forced Tomasina AD's goalkeeper Rodrigo Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raizama's Horácio de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Marinho in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Raizama's goalkeeper Horácio de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Válter Faria. With a little luck, Raizama's Horácio de Amaral got control of the ball when Válter Faria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raizama's Horácio de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Marinho in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Válter Faria to make the kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Raizama's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Marinho came free, but Horácio de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 minutes, Válter Faria made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Raizama's Horácio de Amaral tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Horácio de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Marinho in the 70th minute of play. Marcel Marinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horácio de Amaral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 77th match minute, Tomasina AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. Horácio de Amaral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcel Marinho went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 83 minutes into the game, Chicão França was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Raizama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tomasina AD the free kick. After a rather tough play, Raizama's Chicão França got a free kick in the 84th minute. Horácio de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Marcel Marinho struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Horácio de Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tomasina AD. Armandinho Montenegro charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armandinho Montenegro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Túlio Vander took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rodrigo Prestes. Tomasina AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tomasina AD's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
