The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Valle in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdemar Mandrak saved S.C SILVAO O RETORNO from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, José de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot. ATOS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but José de Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdemar Mandrak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to S.C SILVAO O RETORNO getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Luisão de Souza hit a great ball. Charles Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caco Dantas might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Charles Cruz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caco Dantas ran back to his position shaking his head. 20 minutes into the match, S.C SILVAO O RETORNO's Germano Alcântara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Charles Cruz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Germano Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C SILVAO O RETORNO's supporters rose to their feet, but Germano Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When Rafael Valle came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the ATOS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Valle couldn't finish the play. After 54 minutes, Abel Meira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ATOS FC and the S.C SILVAO O RETORNO players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes ATOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Meira. Caco Dantas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Charles Cruz having to make a save. In the 58th minute, Vágner Miranda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to S.C SILVAO O RETORNO getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Vágner Miranda hit a great ball. When Olívio Trevisan fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ATOS FC's protests and gave Olívio Trevisan a yellow card for diving instead. Olívio Trevisan hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Charles Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, S.C SILVAO O RETORNO's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Marquez came free, but Valdemar Mandrak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charles Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Dantas in the 82nd minute of play. Caco Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, S.C SILVAO O RETORNO's Valdemar Mandrak got control of the ball when Rafael Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caco Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Charles Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 96 minutes, Caco Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C SILVAO O RETORNO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caco Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ATOS FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
