After a rather tough play, Claraval FC's Ulisses Marques got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Otávio Massa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 3rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Claraval FC defense, Charles Marquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Toninho Paiva. The Claraval FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toninho Paiva should have stopped the shot. Otávio Massa's late challenge caught a Claraval FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Otávio Massa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Claraval FC booed when ATOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otávio Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Claraval FC's Sérgio Sabóia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Charles Cruz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. José de Moraes hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. A collision led to ATOS FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Rafael Valle hit a great ball. Claraval FC's Zé Messias shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 19th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Charles Cruz but with some difficulty. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Sérgio Sabóia put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Charles Cruz. 35 minutes into the game, Sérgio Sabóia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Charles Cruz. Sérgio Sabóia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Toninho Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Marquez in the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Charles Marquez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Toninho Paiva. Claraval FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charles Marquez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Charles Marquez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Charles Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Paiva having to interfere. Toninho Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Marquez in the 61st minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Claraval FC's goal looked a bit too open when José de Moraes came free, but Toninho Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sérgio Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Charles Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Charles Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. ATOS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Marquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toninho Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The ATOS FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
