If Giovani Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute of the match Nelsinho de Alcântara sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio de Almeida skillfully saved the ball. Francisco Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Melo having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Silva during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes Morro EC got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Silva. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the match, Morro EC's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Dionísio came free, but Enrique Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Enrique Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sílvio de Almeida made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when José Vítor Loyola sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th play minute José Vítor Loyola came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sílvio de Almeida. 1-1. Enrique Melo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Romero's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Enrique Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Morro EC's Giovani Tasso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sílvio de Almeida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abel Dionísio took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enrique Melo. Enrique Melo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. There was no doubt that Zime United were the better team. Zime United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
