After a rather tough play, Suspiro's Edgard Pimenta got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 5 minutes, Osvaldo Furtado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balseiro and the Suspiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 5 played minutes Balseiro got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Furtado. Filipe Tinoco came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Serafim Lima could save by the left post. With a little luck, Balseiro's Serafim Lima got control of the ball when Filipe Tinoco tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Balseiro defense, Filipe Tinoco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serafim Lima. The Balseiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafim Lima should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filipe Tinoco got free with Serafim Lima in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Suspiro's André Furlan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Serafim Lima. That made the score 2-1 after 34 minutes of play. A collision led to Balseiro getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Edgar Figueiredo hit a great ball. Alfredão Ceresso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Serafim Lima came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfredão Ceresso slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 41st minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivan Kasarda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amílton Custódio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfons Alvarez in the 52nd minute. A collision led to Balseiro getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Jarbas Borges hit a great ball. Nildo Maciel hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Serafim Lima came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Suspiro's Alfredão Ceresso. But to his dismay, Alfredão Ceresso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 62 minutes into the match, Suspiro's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Kasarda came free, but Amílton Custódio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Kasarda in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amílton Custódio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amílton Custódio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Kasarda, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After having played for 69 minutes, Alfons Alvarez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balseiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfons Alvarez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivan Kasarda struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Amílton Custódio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balseiro. The supporters of Balseiro booed when Suspiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfredo Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serafim Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredão Ceresso in the 77th minute of play. Ivan Kasarda was extremely unlucky when he, in the 79th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Suspiro's goalkeeper Amílton Custódio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Mandrak got free with Amílton Custódio in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amílton Custódio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Kasarda in the 87th minute of the match. Serafim Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Furlan in the 90th minute of the match. In the 93rdth minute of the game Ivan Kasarda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Suspiro's Amílton Custódio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Balseiro players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Suspiro.
