Rubinho das Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Bruninho da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tebaida's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruninho da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rubinho das Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Bonzao SS's Virgílio Araújo got a free kick in the 8th minute. Bruninho da Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rubinho das Neves having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Bonzao SS's zone, Bruninho da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubinho das Neves came out of the goal and Bruninho da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Fernando Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. If Marco de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco de Barros in the 30th minute of the match. Bruninho da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho das Neves having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bonzao SS's zone, Bruninho da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubinho das Neves came out of the goal and Bruninho da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Bruninho da Costa made the kick off in the second half. Tebaida's Bruninho da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Francisco Monteiro struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Júlio Vergílio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bonzao SS. After 62 played minutes Bonzao SS got a freekick which was hit by Téo Koehler. The supporters of Tebaida booed when Bonzao SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. If João Francisco Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Tebaida's Bruninho da Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rubinho das Neves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Hernani Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
