After 2 played minutes ABA SOCCER CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Válbson Silva. Adalberto de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Carauba's Luizão da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas Barros in the 15th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Kiko Matorin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Carauba's Luizão da Rocha. Luizão da Rocha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Cauan Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Carauba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cauan Linhares couldn't finish the play. Kléberson Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arí Quintal in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, ABA SOCCER CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Carlos Félix to maneuver through the defense. Arí Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Kléberson Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Cauan Linhares fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kléberson Brodel, passed just outside the right post. If Cauan Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adalberto de Godoi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kléberson Brodel came out and tried to block the shot, but Adalberto de Godoi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kiko Matorin to make the kick off. The throw-in from Válbson Silva in the 56th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Carauba's Conrado Tavares. Conrado Tavares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kléberson Brodel having to make a save. Luizão da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kiko Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Kléberson Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Trevisan in the 60th minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Severino Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carauba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Paraense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in ABA SOCCER CLUB's zone, Richard Trevisan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kléberson Brodel came out of the goal and Richard Trevisan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cauan Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Carauba booed when ABA SOCCER CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernani Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cauan Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute, Cauan Linhares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carauba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind ABA SOCCER CLUB's goalkeeper Kléberson Brodel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Richard Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cauan Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Kléberson Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cauan Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
