Daniel Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Alcântara in the 2nd minute of the match. A collision led to Mauriti FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Carlinhos de Azevedo hit a great ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Egídio Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mauriti FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egídio Lira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Gaspar was a little too slow when Egídio Lira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulisses Oliveira got free with Jonathan Gaspar in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dragão Tiamat's Jonathan Gaspar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Dragão Tiamat from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelinho Leal during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcelinho Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Luizão Faria was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 44 minutes into the match, Mauriti FC's Egídio Lira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Gaspar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Egídio Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chico Alcântara to make the kick off. Egídio Lira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Daniel Simão successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mateus Baiano struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Daniel Simão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dragão Tiamat. Mateus Baiano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Daniel Simão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 71 minutes into the match, Mateus Baiano notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Mauriti FC's Daniel Simão. Daniel Simão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Egídio Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Gaspar having to interfere. Ulisses Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Gaspar having to interfere. When Egídio Lira came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Mauriti FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egídio Lira couldn't finish the play. Mateus Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Daniel Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chico Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Simão having to interfere. Mateus Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Simão having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
