The audience was convinced that Aílton Quaresma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabrício Rosa was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. After 17 played minutes, S.C. Lado Leste Paulista's Wilson de Lara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabrício Rosa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in S.C. Lado Leste Paulista reached it. After 19 played minutes Heriqueta got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Maranhense. Wilson de Lara struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Fabrício Rosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. Lado Leste Paulista. S.C. Lado Leste Paulista's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Eriberto Perez scored to the left of an out of position Paulo José de Carvalho, making the score, 1-1. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Heriqueta's goalkeeper Fabrício Rosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 55 played minutes S.C. Lado Leste Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Agnaldo Palmeira. In the 67th minute S.C. Lado Leste Paulista were awarded a corner. Wilson de Lara went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Wilson de Lara got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fabrício Rosa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wilson de Lara scored 1-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabrício Rosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 73rd minute, Wilson de Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Aílton Quaresma came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the S.C. Lado Leste Paulista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aílton Quaresma couldn't finish the play. Fabrício Rosa made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Wilson de Lara sent off a good shot on target. Wilson de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 84th minute, Wilson de Lara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabrício Rosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Heriqueta's Fabrício Rosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Heriqueta from getting a goal against them. Wilson de Lara made a great header on S.C. Lado Leste Paulista's corner, it was just that Heriqueta's Fabrício Rosa managed to reach the ball for a save. S.C. Lado Leste Paulista's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
