After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Bernardo Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mayrink SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Proença was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Eduardo Gaspar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luís Gaúcho in the 11th minute of play forced Mayrink SC's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If André Luís Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Nagana FC's Frederico Schmidt got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute André Luís Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luiz Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Eduardo Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Machado in the 21st minute of play. If Alan Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mayrink SC's Pedro Luiz Guimarães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Mayrink SC from getting a goal against them. Alan Jacinto scored 0-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Eduardo Gaspar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Tiago Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alan Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Luiz Eduardo Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alan Jacinto came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Mayrink SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Jacinto couldn't finish the play. After the first half Mayrink SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Luís Gaúcho was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Mayrink SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson Pereira to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Mayrink SC's zone, Belmiro Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luiz Guimarães came out of the goal and Belmiro Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Belmiro Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Betinho Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mayrink SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Betinho Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Eduardo Gaspar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute of the match Toninho Aguiar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Luiz Guimarães showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Belmiro Neto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nagana FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mayrink SC the free kick. After 78 played minutes Nagana FC got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Neto. After a defensive mix-up in Nagana FC's zone, Betinho Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Eduardo Gaspar came out of the goal and Betinho Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 84 minutes, Dedê Alvarenga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nagana FC and the Mayrink SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nagana FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Betinho Machado put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Luiz Eduardo Gaspar. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Alan Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mayrink SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alan Jacinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Eduardo Gaspar made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Alan Jacinto sent off a good shot on target. Mayrink SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
