Fernando Santos's late challenge caught a Itajara fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Santos helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Itajara fc a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Davi Souto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Paranavai's José Vítor do Vale. 0-2. Itajara fc's Nicolas de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Silva in the 32nd minute of play. If Rafael Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovanni Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas de Queirós having to interfere.

Percy Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. José Vítor do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kauan Vidal charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kauan Vidal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th minute, Kauan Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovanni Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Nicolas de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Geovanni Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kauan Vidal was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Itajara fc's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
