When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Frederico Dante sped through Corinthians's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Percy Duarte. Caco de Amaral struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Rafal Wolczewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corinthians. Dráusio Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Percy Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico Dante in the 14th minute of the match. After having played for 20 minutes, Júlio Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corinthians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio Valladares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dráusio Mello was shown his second yellow card after 22 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 22nd match minute, Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio Mello to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute Natã Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Rafal Wolczewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Natã Meireles came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Luterano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natã Meireles couldn't finish the play. In the 36th minute Natã Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafal Wolczewski having to interfere. Marcel Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natã Meireles to make the kick off. When the match had been going on for 67 minutes, Luterano FC's Leonardo Trancoso got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Percy Duarte. After 70 played minutes Luterano FC got a freekick which was hit by Natã Meireles. The supporters of Corinthians booed when Luterano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Percy Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico Dante in the 80th minute of the match. When Luterano FC's Natã Meireles in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corinthians's goalie prevented a goal. 83 minutes into the game, Corinthians's Júlio Valladares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafal Wolczewski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. When Júlio Valladares came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Corinthians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Valladares couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Luterano FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
