Davi Leal charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Davi Leal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Taubaté F.C.'s Davi Leal got a free kick in the 5th minute. Allan Catarinense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Perivaldo Guimarães fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gangsters FC's protests and gave Perivaldo Guimarães a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Taubaté F.C. booed when Gangsters FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perivaldo Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geovani Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Beto Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Gangsters FC's zone, Geovani Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moisés do Valle came out of the goal and Geovani Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Gangsters FC's Kiko de Godoi got a free kick in the 20th minute. Geovani Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés do Valle having to interfere. Beto Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel de Alcântara having to interfere. During the 24th minute of the match Davi Leal completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Davi Leal a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 25th minute, Davi Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Aparecido was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Régis Quintal's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Manuel de Alcântara firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Beto Bezerra got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Gangsters FC's Perivaldo Guimarães got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute, Régis Quintal fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Alfredão Gaúcho came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Gangsters FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredão Gaúcho couldn't finish the play. Allan Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Moisés do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
After 51 played minutes Gangsters FC got a freekick which was hit by Kiko de Godoi. When Geovani Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taubaté F.C.'s protests and gave Geovani Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. Geovani Nunes hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Taubaté F.C.'s goalkeeper Manuel de Alcântara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gangsters FC's Moisés do Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Gangsters FC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gernando Lara during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Taubaté F.C.'s Gernando Lara got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Taubaté F.C.! The referee gave Gangsters FC a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bruno Aparecido, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Taubaté F.C.'s Manuel de Alcântara. 1-0. José Vítor Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés do Valle having to interfere. Amadeu Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel de Alcântara having to interfere. When Régis Quintal came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Gangsters FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Régis Quintal couldn't finish the play. Gangsters FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Taubaté F.C. for a fine match.
