In the 18th match minute, Ponciano AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Dracena to maneuver through the defense. From a short distance, Montenebo's Iuri Veloso, in the 19th minute, tried to place the ball behind Dorival Trevisan, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Iuri Veloso might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dorival Trevisan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iuri Veloso ran back to his position shaking his head. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
