With a little luck, Braunat's Marcinho Rosado got control of the ball when Dino Sabóia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcinho Rosado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Francisco Paranaense in the 18th minute of play. Martins F.C's Dino Sabóia got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dino Sabóia in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marcinho Rosado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 47th minute, José Maria Lopes made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Motta. Martins F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Francisco Paranaense to make the kick off. When José Maria Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Braunat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Maria Lopes couldn't finish the play. After 58 played minutes Martins F.C got a freekick which was hit by Hélder de Sena. Hélio Bezerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Gabriel Motta made a huge save. Dino Sabóia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute of the match Aníbal Berger shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabriel Motta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 68 played minutes Martins F.C got a freekick which was hit by Hélder de Sena. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, José Maria Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Braunat's supporters rose to their feet, but José Maria Lopes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Motta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Maria Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute.
