Kaká Eger's late challenge caught a Secura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcinho Rosado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hudson Silveira in the 36th minute of the match. Iuri de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Dalmo Salles managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Braunat's Hélio Bezerra fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 61st minute of the match Rubinho Xavier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dalmo Salles skillfully saved the ball. Dalmo Salles was a little too slow when José Maria Lopes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-1. Hudson Silveira charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hudson Silveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valdomiro Palmeira hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The long shot by Rubinho Xavier in the 76th minute really tested Dalmo Salles's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Dalmo Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Maria Lopes struck a weak shot in the 84th minute.
