In the 24th minute, Tapora SS's Carlinhos Quirino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mazinho Brito. Mazinho Brito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. A collision led to Quarany getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ademir Sabóia hit a great ball. If Basílio Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wiliam Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arthur Gonçalves charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arthur Gonçalves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arthur Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Quarany defense, Anderson Brasil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mazinho Brito. The Quarany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mazinho Brito should have stopped the shot.
