Ismael Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agnaldo Damião having to interfere. Vasil Pavlov struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Zeca Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Damianopolis. After having played for 17 minutes, Vasil Pavlov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Damianopolis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasil Pavlov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vasil Pavlov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeca Bertassi having to make a save. Vasil Pavlov hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Vasil Pavlov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Zeca Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Pereiro's Ismael Porto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Agnaldo Damião. That made the score 1-0 after 28 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Porto in the 37th minute of play forced Damianopolis's goalkeeper Agnaldo Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37th play minutes Erasmo Toscano shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Agnaldo Damião and just under the crossbar into goal. Ismael Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agnaldo Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Silveira in the 43rd minute of the match. Ismael Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Agnaldo Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Wágner Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ismael Porto was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes, Pereiro's Baltazar Barral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Agnaldo Damião came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pereiro reached it. Ismael Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Agnaldo Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Erasmo Toscano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agnaldo Damião was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Agnaldo Damião took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67thth minute of the game Ismael Porto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Damianopolis's Agnaldo Damião was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Damianopolis getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Dário Peres hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Damianopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Toscano came free, but Agnaldo Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Agnaldo Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Vladimir Silveira charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vladimir Silveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 81 minutes into the match, Vladimir Silveira notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Damianopolis's Agnaldo Damião. Agnaldo Damião was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th match minute, Pereiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Toscano to maneuver through the defense. Baltazar Barral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Agnaldo Damião. Damianopolis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasil Pavlov in the 95th minute of play forced Pereiro's goalkeeper Zeca Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 minutes, Osvaldo Cearense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pereiro and the Damianopolis players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pereiro's Osvaldo Cearense got a free kick in the 97th minute. Wágner Velloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pereiro's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
