Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Orlando do Vale started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Donatello Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 played minutes Joinvile SS got a freekick which was hit by Hílton Mangueira. In the 14thth minute of the game José Pedro Neiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pereiro's Zeca Bertassi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erasmo Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 19thth minute of the game Ismael Porto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Joinvile SS's Donatello Romero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Erasmo Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Bertassi having to interfere. In the 41st minute, João Augusto França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Pedro Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Bertassi having to interfere. Vladimir Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ismael Porto to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando do Vale in the 65th minute of play forced Pereiro's goalkeeper Zeca Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When José Pedro Neiva came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Joinvile SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Pedro Neiva couldn't finish the play. Donatello Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Porto in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Pereiro getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Vladimir Silveira hit a great ball. José Pedro Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Zeca Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Pereiro defense, José Pedro Neiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeca Bertassi. The Pereiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeca Bertassi should have stopped the shot. If Erasmo Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 94 minutes, José Pedro Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joinvile SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Pedro Neiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 98 minutes of play, Pereiro's Ismael Porto made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donatello Romero was left in no man's land by his defense there!
