Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Valério Vasconcelos kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gláuber Vergílio got free with Eliézer Barros in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Batista SS's Eliézer Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Batista SS from getting a goal against them. If Gláuber Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Batista SS getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Alexandre Abraão hit a great ball. Gláuber Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliézer Barros having to interfere. After having played for 20 minutes, Valério Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VIRAGOS FOOT BALL CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valério Vasconcelos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 minutes, Tião Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Batista SS and the VIRAGOS FOOT BALL CLUB players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Batista SS's Tião Valle got a free kick in the 21st minute. Batista SS's Rubens Pombal got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Tião Valle came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Batista SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tião Valle couldn't finish the play. Gilberto Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Renan Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubens Pombal in the 36th minute of play. Gláuber Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliézer Barros having to interfere. In the 40th minute of the match, Valério Vasconcelos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eliézer Barros saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 42nd minute Valério Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubens Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan Machado having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rubens Pombal to strike the kick off in the second half. Renan Machado made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Rubens Pombal sent off a good shot on target. Gláuber Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 minutes of play, VIRAGOS FOOT BALL CLUB's Valério Vasconcelos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliézer Barros was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardinho Paraíba during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eliézer Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valério Vasconcelos in the 82nd minute of play. Batista SS's Eliézer Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Vasconcelos in the 85th minute of play. Adrianinho Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 minutes of play Batista SS's Tião Valle was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Tião Valle hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. A collision led to Batista SS getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Marquinhos Sampaio hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
